I probably could write a hub on this question. The pic is my writing desk. To my write is a candle that remains lit for a very dear friend. In front is a collection of crystals gathered to offer inspiration and mysticism for writing. My favorite is a hard choice. I will choose for this question the sphere on the left standing on its own. It is Fluorite.

The color is basically green with white or opaque inclusions. There is a smather of lavender too. Fluorite "cleanses and freshens Chakras, elminates negativity in a room. is excellent for the heart and the heart Chakra. It helps access intuition and dissipates emotional trauma. Physically it is good for the bones, stomach, teeth. cramps and digestion.

The shape is a sphere,  which sends energy in all directions. Facilitating smooth communication in group settings and smaller spheres are good for holding in meditation. The sphere holds a property for scying or seeing past and future events.

Personally I feel the energy of this crystal is very powerful. Other crystals were chosen for the platter all helping to balance each. These choices were a long arduous process of deciding crystal type, size and shape. There ate others on a one of the shelves on the neighboring bookshelf too. Some may ponder the left side is empty of crystals creating an unbalance. To the left is a large geometric pattern on the wall and drawers full of varying music CD's and CD's of knowledge, wisdom, counseling, and literature.

There is a balance between the left and the right and the chakras as well. It seems to work. Takes a bit of getting use to and incense helps too. Oh, some of those CD sets are bible study helps and the Bible of course too.

Wow, fluorite has so many useful properties. I have never worked with it, but I will keep it in mind. Thanks!

I have been collecting crystals since the mid 80's. The first one I was drawn to was rose quartz but this was a beautiful craved necklace which was probably 40's vintage. That started me on my journey. To say favorite, and work with, for me is interesting. I don't work with them other to have them around me and admire their beauty because when I hold them or graze into them nothing magical happens except they sooth me.
I will say that Lemurian crystals are at the top of my list right now. I have a beautiful large golden one pointing at me while I write my articles "Remembering 911" I have Phantoms, Tibetans, Seer stones and a large elestial on my dinning room table where I write.  The majority of my crystals are different types of Quartz oh yes I love looking into rutilated quartz and spheres with rainbow looking inclusions. I quess my answer is QUARTZ Crystals all kinds.

I really like the quartz crystals, as well. My favorite would be rose quartz because it is great for healing. Thanks for your answer.

For myself, it's amethyst quartz. I'm drawn to all quartz though. I'm a rock hound, but I have yet to find any quartz crystal in nature. All of the crystals I have acquired have been bought or given to me as a gift.

Good luck with it. It can be a little expensive, but it extremely powerful so it is worth the extra cost!

Bloodstone without a doubt. It's my power stone and strengthens any magickal workings I might be doing. It's also very soothing to me. I use it for everything, healing, spells, identifying people I can trust etc. I even have a bloodstone pendulum.

There are several different stories about how bloodstone got it's red spots. The one I prefer is the blood of a dragon dripped onto green jasper and imbued it with his power.

How cool, I have never tried bloodstone, but I think I might check it out. I like that it has so many different uses.
