Having Fibromyalgia, I also have struggled with IBS, which often comes along with it. I heard about food sensitivities, which have a slower reaction than food allergies, and so had my blood tested for them. When I finished the program of eliminating those 40+ foods that my body had some sensitive to, my blood pressure went down. It went down so much that a few times I had minor problems with too low a blood pressure. I now have an idea, too, of what foods I've added back that though they no longer bother my GI track, they do elevate some my blood pressure. This is also interesting since I am overweight and though (for other reasons) this program did not cause weight loss, avoiding reactive foods can lower my blood pressure. I still avoid about 20+ foods--foods normally thought of as good but are reactive for me; for example, apples and asparagus.
