In one word I would say "Happy" ! It does not matter how bad it gets you have to keep smiling.

Ahh, I am with you AliceFSpencer.  I do get sad, when there is a reason, but my general feeling is that I am so happy.  Life is great.  We are so lucky!!

Very true!!  Smiling is  universal. Everyone  knows  when you are happy. There is no  language barrier when  you smile. smile)))

I would say 'kind'.  I try to be nice to everyone no matter who they are.

Be kind...  One of the best ideas ever.  Occasionally (hopefully very rarely) when I am less than kind, I replay the moment over and over in my mind, and hope to do better next time.

LOL!!! I   got called " lazy" once , by  my stepmother, when I was 12 years old.   I'll never forget THAT episode. Ever since then, I VOWED to always look busy, no matter WHERE I was---LOL.. I was NOT going to be called lazy EVER AGAIN, by NO ONE!!

Sensitive. This can be good at times and bad at others. You don't want to be sensitive in every area of your life.

    1. cloud9devine profile image61
cloud9devineposted 11 years agoin reply to this

I think sensitivity  is a GOOD THING.   It shows you are  concerned about other's needs. You really do  CARE about people. That's good.  IT can be bad too.. depending  on the situation but more or less, I think it's good.

For me the word is 'Dependable' I am known affectionately as 'The rock' within my family. A very good question this!

Awesome, old albion.   Dependability is a GOOD THING, especially these days.  It's something that is  deterioating in society. People are so  concerned with themsleves, others people's needs go on the back burner.   We need more folks like YOU, sir!

I was involved in a personality profile about 12 years ago, where a friend and myself came out in a 7% of the population rating... the word being "complex". There are so many factors within each one of us, that a single word can hardly do us all justice. I believe that we are all multifaceted, but understanding our personality traits helps us cope with ourselves and others much better. Good question and one that we can all ponder.

I would say 'Sincere', because I do maintain all my relationships with full sincerity and do all my work with full sincerity.

If you mean at this moment in time it'd be "horny"..my husband is asleep and he looks so nummy-num lying under the covers.
But if you're asking about a general, prevailing trait I guess it'd be Grateful. I have faced some very rough times in life but I've also been extremely blessed in other ways..ways that matter more than money, power and all the stuff that we can't take in the next life.

Fun question! I'd have to say that the one word that defines me best at the moment is "determined". It incorporates or is necessary because of other definitive concepts like "stubborn", "assertive", "flawed", "law-abiding", "patriotic", "open-minded", "liberal", "precise", "intelligent", "creative", and many more.

Until I started college, however, the term that best defined me was, "afraid", followed by "ashamed".
