What expertise do you have on a particular disease, disorder, or condition? Weekly Topic Inspiration

The more people I meet, the more I realize that we have all been touched by some disease, disorder, or condition (sometimes directly, sometimes through a close friend or family member). Have you learned anything about a particular condition through firsthand experience that would be useful to other people? If so, share it as part of this week’s Weekly Topic Inspiration challenge.

For group support and search-friendly title ideas, stop by the official Weekly Topic Inspiration forum thread: http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/103568

Very good question. I unfortunately, have experience in a few different diseases. LOL  From cancer to children's diseases to diabetics..you name it, it's around. I do think every family has experienced cancer somewhere. I have yet to find a family who has not, and that is unfortunate.

I have several hubs on cancer and some on childrens diseases. All from personal experiences (again, unfortunately)

I will not admit to be an expert but regarding the first hand experiences part and some effects I have experienced from others; here goes.. I have an understanding regarding Depressions, Paranoia, Schizophrenia, and Borderline Personality disorders. I have taken care of children with asthma for months, night and day. I have survived Dilated Cardio Myopathy which all the professionals find hard to believe that I am off medication, running and singing since it was coupled with a congenital ASD with a heart failure condition after childbirth. A grandfather that shows Alzheimer condition.
