When detoxing, you will most likely lose some weight, but not true weight. You will get rid of excess stuff in your bowels and will most likely lose some weight on the scale.
I recently did a liver cleanse, but there are all kinds of different cleanses (depending on what you are aiming for). There are colon cleanses, kidney, liver, etc.
I've done a cleanse that is more gentle and it might be a good place to start if it's your first time doing a cleanse. It is a 7 day cleanse and it is recommended to stay away from dairy, wheat, and any other known food allergens while doing the cleanse. You should eat whole foods- meats, fruits, and veggies (baked, steamed, etc but not fried).
I also use a detox tea most days (has milk thistle in it). It is a good way to stay in good health.
