I've been cracking my neck since I was 16. I cracked it more and more till I ended up doing it several times a day. Now that I have neck problems, I am trying to stop and correct my posture. However, I am on day two of not cracking my neck and it feels worse, and my back hurts. Is this normal? Its super tense and still. I couldn't find info on the web and I don't have the $$$ to see a chiropractor at the moment.

I use heat and ice. I had it x-rayed 2 years ago as its been bothering me bad for a good 3 years now... and they said they didn't see anything wrong, just said bad posture. I went through PT but it didn't help much.
