Thinking it through, unless if it's a math problem. In math problems, I need to talk it out to really think it over. But society or psychology problems, no need to talk.

Talking through a problem sometimes helps, but I would definitely prefer to think something through instead. However, I suppose that it depends on the type of problem that needs to be solved.
It depends upon the nature of problem. Sometimes the talking is crucial and sometimes a problem demands a deep scrutiny. On the whole, a careful thinking is basic to find out a solution.
I find that I do both. I talk it through and think it through.
