There is a marked difference between our talents and our qualities. My talents, which are inherent gifts - even though they been improved with practice in this life - include a gift for Creative Writing. This covers a wide range of writing: novels, non-fiction, critiques, short stories, essays, letters, poetry, and even film scripts.
Also, I have a talent for presenting stories orally - once again, arduously and assidiously developed over the years - to the point that a few years back people began to dub me a Master Storyteller and 'The Prince of Storytellers.'
Qualities are different. They include such things as patience, perseverence, courage, willingness, open-mindedness, the capacity to feel empathy, love - and especially being ABLE to love; being both loving and loveable.
I'm a believer in Reincarnation. I believe we 'carry forward' our gifts and qualities. However, I think our 'qualities' and our developing the ones we consider good, and shedding thos we consider detract from what we want to be 'qualitiy-wise,' is what a lot of our life is all about.
