What to do if you have kidney stones and an allergy to NSAIDs?

Apparently, I have uric acid kidney stones - can't see them on xray, but have sterile pyuria and flank/back pain. Also, I've had these for several months. Due to a Roux-en-Y gastric bypass I'm now not allowed to take NSAIDs (it's just easier to say "allergic") due to ulcer risks in blind pouch. SO, what are your remedies? I'm tired of the discomfort!

Some of it may be genetic I believe. I'm not a doctor but I play one on the internet and I swear it's genetic. My Dad had them and so did his Dad.

Yeah, I am. But other pain relief like codeine etc make me vomit. I'm a nurse so I know the normal remedies. Wondering about some alternatives. It's more discomfort than pain it's just annoying. Thanks though

I work for a company of Drs - his solution was..."errr...NSAIDs are the only thing that works, if it is kidney stones..let me think". HE's a really nice guy, and a good dr - I'm just a difficult case! Can't have a CT cause we are trying to get preg
