Dopamine is the everything's alright neurotransmitter. It is related to happiness, being centered, and stable emotions.
A lack of dopamine brings about Paranoia, Autism, Parkinson's Disease, and withdrawal. Parkinson's is a progressive disease whereby the area of the brain that produces this neuro transmitter is either damaged, or dying, and is no longer able to produce those chemicals.
To much produces agitation, insomnia, ocd,and aggressiveness.
Ways to produce dopamine, or support its production include Omega 3 fatty acids, magnesium, and B6, as well as tyrosine, an amino acid. A lack of these vital nutrients, will cause an imbalance in the brain.
Ways to lower it include balancing copper levels, with zinc, (do not exceed 100mg a day.)
Our bodies are a complex machine that require the right nutrients for it to perform at its peak.
