I don't tend to get terribly angry, but on the rare occasions that I have - I use distraction. I will play a game on my computer, or sit and doodle, or sketch - anything to get my vitals back to normal.
I also try to be very conscious of my breathing, taking nice slow breaths and bringing my heart rate down. Once I have calmed down, I can address whatever it is that made me angry-I can make a plan to deal with things.
Oscar86's advice is good stuff. Never make decisions when angry or over emotional.
