I have to agree with Abby on this one. I find that Standard weights are much better due to the fact that I'm not a really big, bulky guy. I like staying toned and leaner, so due to that a 300 pound weight is not attractive for me and would probably put me in the hospital LOL!
I prefer Olympic weights over Standard weights only because they are more comfortable for me. Obviously as a woman, I will most likely not lift more than 200 pounds, so the strength of the bar would not matter much.
However, if you're trying to decide, you want to consider the following: strength, accuracy, weight, stability, no torque, rack compatibility, thickness, plate types, lock collars, and price.
