   Because it's made with love... and less chemicals, additives and fillers are used in the making of your food at home compared to a factory. The best is home-cooked food from scratch... you just can't beat that.

   Fresh ingredients play a huge role in this.  Using fresh produce and meat is absolutely essential to keeping the nutrients and quality strong.  Food that has been factory made has been sitting for a while, is full of preservatives, and usually has a lot of other nasty fillers that don't quite do the trick.

      Yes Neinahpets, I agree fresh ingredients including organic  make a huge difference. Most frozen foods have preservatives and GMO's unfortunately.

   I think it depends on who the cook is.  My hubby prefers the Stauffer's lasagna compared to my homemade one

   It depends who you're cooking for. Teenagers prefer take away over home cooked but I do agree that love and fresh ingredients make home cooking taste better.

   I always love home-cooked food as I can use whatever ingredients that are healthier. I believe there are too much of the additives being used for factory made food.

      H edhan; Yes I agree that additives have become common place in most store bought food and we can never be sure how much nutrition we are actually getting.

   if you are good at whipping up nice decent food that is edible, YES, home-cooked food taste BETTER than factory made food. However, you can';t deny that factory made food is delicious IF your culinary skills is below 3 out of 10, agree? Some of my recipes are well sought by family members asking for the same recipes in the same week. Otherwise, they would complain that my cooking skills are down and out and they start comparing factory made food.

   I think home cooked food tastes better because of the intent that is put into the result. I know that growing up, my grandmother made the best homemade biscuits, she made them for us often and it delighted her to hear us go on and on about how delicious they were. I think because of this, she put her heart into her cooking and that resulted in being able to taste her love and effort in everything she made.
   Good question!
