I think I might have an allergy or reaction to sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS). I was hesitant about switching to a natural toothpaste but now that I think I might have a allergy I'm more motivated to switch. Just not sure which one to try or if I'm better off making my own.

Thanks! Gluten free is a major plus for me. I'm torn about making my own since the store bought stuff is pricey. I don't trust my ability to make it.
It's really not hard, I have a hub on it. Coconut oil, sea salt or baking soda and a few drops of essential oil is all you really need and it works very well. you just have to prepare in small batches and remake often.
Thanks Christin. Just to update you I was able to purchase a natural tooth powder. Took some time getting use to it. I think I'm going to try your recipe though. I have seen improvement since switching. Do you avoid SLS in other aspects of your life?
awesome Sharicey, glad you are enjoying it now. Definitely experiment. I do avoid SLS in everything - among many other chemicals!
