What causes so many children from large families to gravitate towards juvenile delinquency?

Studies have repeatedly confirmed that children from large families have very little to almost no parental involvement in their lives. They are left mostly with no adult supervision and to their own devices. As a result of being left to their own devices so to speak, they are more likely to indulge in more deleterious activities. There are stories of many children from large families who gravitated into such activities as a result of little parental supervision. Mark Wahlberg, youngest of 9,admitted that he was indulged in delinquent activities as a youth as did George Raft, one of 11 children.
