I disagree, smoking a tobacco cigarette is far different than smoking an e-cigarette. The satisfaction from smoking an e-cigarette is not nearly as good as the satisfaction of smoking a regular cigarette. While I agree the addictive nature of nicotine may cause users to become addicted, the actual act of smoking a cigarette is "cooler" than puffing on a steel and plastic tube with a fake "cherry", that is usually some color other than orange. Disposable cigarettes are only good for a few days to a week, depending on usage. Rechargeable electronic cigarettes are a bit better in regards to not having buy a new device when the battery dies, but users need to buy refills, which could become pricey. Most electrinic cigarettes are not universal, meaning a user must buy the refills for the particular brand of e-cig they purchased. People who use e cigs tend to revert back to smoking cigarettes if using an e cig to cut back or quit smoking. Users who experiment with e cigs may end up using tobacco cigarettes if they cannot afford a new e cigarette or a refill pack. It is cheaper to buy a pack of cigarettes and a lighter than it is to buy an electronic cigarette. A cheap disposable electronic cigarette is around $8, a rechargeable will cost at least $20, refills cartridges are around $10 and can cost as much as $30. A pack of Marlboro are between $4.50 and $6.
