Many years of practicing awareness. I have many environmental factors that cause me to have physical symptoms. It is always helpful to differentiate between the symptoms and the disease. Histamines are very interesting. The symptoms of itchy, sneezy and snotty conditions are not at all a disease. And fevers are not a disease. But we Americans spend billions US a year to "cure" them.
Take aching muscles -- certainly not a disease and both depression and malnutrition can cause the symptoms. Often together.
So for me it just takes some time to get my head on straight, meditate, pray get some exercise and fresh air and appropriate diet needs and a good night's sleep.
If the problem is there when I wake up - it is physical.
Here is a big problem. Stress causes muscle tension which causes a neck ache. Well your problem is a physical tightness in your muscles. We first would jump on the stress being the cause and probably correctly, but it is the lack of "physical" exercise, posture and nutrients that allows our stress to manifest rather than be relieved. So is the cause psychological or physical?
When I work really hard at my desk I will get a headache and neck ache. Both from the psychological devotion to sitting still and reading too long with out movement and rest. I would say my psych caused the physical disease/symptom.
Very fun question thank you, now I will go out for a walk :-)
