You can appreciate that we all have different angles of vision. Mine is to love and serve God.
In life one is either dead or alive. To live like the scriptures say, is to live in Christ. In other words, one needs to feel an intangible joy that comes from a deep yearning for Truth, and a ceaseless and selfless service to others. Here there is a spirit of 'sweet' sacrifice, and life takes on meaning. Then there is an inner source of abiding satisfaction, of true peace.
Living a long life then becomes important only in so far as one is able to continue to serve, and to reach a higher and fuller potential. Without this inner beauty of the Soul, the heart is hard and narrow and life has no meaning. Ironically, it is in such state that there is grasping and a desire to live long.
