A person that I know recently retired from the military. Early in his career, during basic training, he injured his knee in a non-duty related activity. He managed to complete a 25 year career, including combat duty in Afghanistan. But now that he has retired, he is claiming disability benefits for his "injury". He shows no ill effects from his "injury", as he now hikes, runs, jogs, and does other strenuous exercises with no ill effects. This can't be right. There are so many other returning vets that badly need the benefits.
