Tough question in a sense. Some would say I am wasting my time answering this question, yet they are not a part of this community. Then again I would say they are wasting their time working on their three wheeler in the garage for a trip at Easter time.
Perspective comes to offer us both a contrast and compare while perception, feelings, become subjective based on how others view the time wasted in many cases.
Actually, time wasted for myself today is, well, none if I give pause to consider me of my 'Self' and not others. I worked with someone once who complained that I drank coffee in the mornings at my desk saying I was wasting company time and should be ready to work when I arrived. He did not understand in my view that sip of coffee allowed me to become more focused on what I was doing and being as accurate as possible with the task. The oddity and the humor was he wasted my time with his constant criticism. Then, one must ponder did he waste his time?
Yes, I propose most do not waste there time much at all. It comes down to perspective, perceptions, and the view of the present or immediate social perspective offering a judgement too often rather than discernment . . . maybe? Ponder the world and especially this nation's position today seeking to not waste time and possibly acting with haste. Then compare and contrast if more time was given rather than less. Would it have been better?
An example is I bet as I waste my time watching TV I would realize there is a commercial every 15 minutes or at least every hour asking or soliciting people for a law suit. Then ponder original cause. Would that time wasted for those law suits in totality have occurred for those usually prescription medications or industrial work related causes occurred if more time was spent with research and etc?
oopps! This is a long answer written and shared. Was time wasted to write? I type at average 25wpm or so (when not thinking or pondering) and most read at 225wpm on average. Whose time was wasted for this approximately 400 or so word comment, which is a social interaction? Would time have not been wasted if it was a TV commercial? For whom? The audience or the creators?
Perspective and Perception . . . ?
I thank any who did read and their time whether they agreed or not with this perspective of perception.
