Wow, so many great suggestions. I have never heard of the Epsom salt and its relation to milk of magnesia. Very interesting. I bought some ginger today and will be getting some peppermint tea I think to try later. Thanks for your input!
You are very welcome. A subject no one wants to talk about, but when u are suffering you just want relief!! the recommendations honestly do help. I use ginger pretty often, lol :) Another benefit is it boosts estrogen levels and helps with menopause
I tried the prune juice before, I think I will try again with the prunes. It does seem to work longterm, I just dont continue and the constipation returns. Thank you :)
Not the juice, but the prunes. I liked your pick for the best answer as he was very indepth on all of that.
Thank you lady Guinevere for the kind comment. I have lupus, with IBS so the recommendations do help, as well as elimination of the offending foods. For me its seeds. I cant digest them. Didnt kno it until I started a food diary, and narrowed it down
Stay away from vegetables in the Nightshade family: tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, peppers and such. They are known to give you flareups.
Thank you Lady Guinevere, the night shade "family" doesnt seem to make a difference, although it probably does. Kinda frustrating at times. Ive just learned to go with the flow. i just kinda accept it, and try something else.
I have seen a doctor. I was told I had H. Pylori and Gerd caused by it. I was on medication for 6 months and got better. The meds made me sick though. Now I am having issues with the bloating again. I have been constipated my whole life though :( thx
you poor thing!! Other recommendations for H pylori, and gerd are in my article about Ibs. Pistachios, and honey actually kill the Pylori bacteria. Which has become resistant to anti biotics. Which would explain why after the meds it just came back.
some ppl are allergic to peanuts and dairy and if so then dairy causes bloating and constipation. I am not talking about Lactose Intolerance, it's the protein in the dairy that ppl like me, are allergic too.
I didn't know that. It always works for me.
Unfortunately, I have tried eating all kinds of nuts :( Icecream doesnt really work for me either, I usually will just wind up really full. Thank you for sharing!
