I honestly didn't have allergies until moving west - so I am currently in the same boat. While it doesn't cure it, consuming local honey seems to alleviate it a lot for me. I try to incorporate 2 spoonfuls a day... tea, yogurt, on an English muffin etc. The local honey is said to work better because it is pollinated from local plants and flowers that are causing the allergies in the first place. Also adding elderberry extract to tea works wonders.
Also - I'm not even sure if this is just me, but when I'm really sneezing and stuffy, pickled ginger works wonders. Nothing fancy - just the ginger that comes with sushi.
