I almost hate to answer this because women think I can't relate to any of this. I had a complete Hysto in my 40's...long time ago. I refused HRT & my Dr is fine with whatever her patients choose to do.I reasoned that should I feel anything became a serious issue, I'd research all of the homeopathic means, of which there are many.
However, apparently my "luck" is genetic because my mother, my sister and I never had so much as a simple symptom due to menopause. Nothing. I have been with women who were experiencing hot flashes and I feel so badly I can't help them. It seems they are so uncomfortable. Also, it looks like they get very upset over it.
What I will suggest to you Christin, is any of Suzanne Somer's books.....even just borrow one from your library. I have heard repeatedly that her info and advice is the best. I did a little snooping online and discovered that she did extensive research, to include conferring with numerous Top physicians and professionals in Natural supplements, used herself as a guinea pig and was able to improve her quality of life enormously...so she shared her wisdom in books. Check her books out.
The only other thing I know is that my sister-in-law suffered terribly with flashes and the only thing that helped her was a cream or salve of Primrose oil......she just rubbed some on her arms and legs b-4 bed and claims it was great. Good luck...I hope you get a handle on this, so you can get some sleep!......UP+++
