I believe certain foods can have addictive properties yes, and I also believe many are manufactured to be that way on purpose to drive profits. I have a massive sweet tooth and if I keep sugar of any form in my house it can trigger a binge if I am not mindful. I don't keep sugar in the house or any kind of cakes, cookies, etc. as they are trigger foods. Many people are addicted to simple carbs and don't realize it because they eat it so habitually. Massive cravings for certain foods are often a good indicator you have a problem with it.
