You have a point there! My best friend has fibromyalgia.
The reason that we feel it is taking long for fulfillment is His years and days our defined
different a 1000 years could be a day to him
he is eternal , our life span is short, understand that Jesus cure will cover generations of people not one.
The scenario is frightening enough. At least there's hope with other illnesses but what can you when you feel there is no way to treat it. And like you've stated, it's not a top priority either.
Agree with anything related to cigarettes; they are responsible for a slew of dangerous diseases. I was thinking of diabetes too and type 2 diabetes continues to grow with our unhealthy lifestyle.
Strokes are terrible and you are right about what it does to some people, but many recover.
If you can't recover from it, then agreed that it feels like you're trapped in your own body. It saddens me knowing victims have to live the rest of their lives that way. Perhaps new medical technology (stem cells) will aid them in the coming years.
These are terrible diseases, but people contract these diseases, in most cases because of lifestyle activities.
The good news is that you could avoid those diseases if you're mature and responsible, but that doesn't take away from their ill effects. Many people over the world still deal with these illnesses and they lack treatment and care that are required.
I agree with you Chris that we can be more responsible for our well being and choices .
but we must remember even the most healthy people experience bad health due to
genes passed down. People can be born with terrible diseases.
I had a client who had ALS. I agree; it is HORRIBLE! You can feel pain, itching and everything else, but can't move. He died when his lungs eventually stopped working.
Just imagining the effects of ALS on a person is saddening. I'm also sorry that your mother had to deal with with. Diseases like this can't be forgotten because although rare, they still happen to good people that don't deserve it.
God will get around to it in His own sweet time - meanwhile, we humans will research cures as best we can. The good news is, we've come a long ways since the Bible days curses of cataracts and leprosy.
YoleenIsa 26:19“very true God will carry his words out as written,Isa 55:11So my word that goes out of my mouth will be. It will not return to me without results, But it will certainly accomplish whatever is my delight, And it will have sure success
I agreet God will cure all in his time. Until then we deal with the pain and suffering just as Jesus did on the cross. Some of the diseases mention result from heredity choices. For my Mother with ALS, there was no choice or cure in her time.
