No kiddin' J. Wow, never heard of the Hobo spider so that is really interesting.. I thought there were only 2 bad bite spiders in US...BW and Brown Recluse.

Synchronicity par excellence, Phyllis! Holy Mackerel, another one from out West didn't know about. The wolf spids round here are small, harmless, and eat bugs.Chased by big bad biter ones are a different animal altogether for sure!

Lordy, Jackie, we live in the same region and what in the world could be sneak attacking you like that?! Spider? Maybe. But I do know the only serious ones we have are the horrible bite BW's and B Recluses. Thank goodness we can rule those out.

Hi again Genna, long time...good to hear from you! Those are all good ones but my bet would be a box jellyfish. Almost half the time in a defensive bite, pit vipers like a rattler don't even release venom, or so I've heard.

Confession here, Lena. Scorps have always spooked me. Can't imagine getting stung in bed like you. Some in mts. here but fairly harmless. What kind are stinging you? Hopefully not those very dangerous small bark one.
