Though it may seem counter-intuitive, fat doesn't make you fat. Carbohydrates create fat.
For many years people were deceived by mass media into thinking that eating fat makes one fat. This is not true. Carbohydrates cause one to put on fat.
Fats when you eat them get used for energy straight away. Carbohydrates, if not used immediately, get turned into and stores as fats.

I don't think breads make us gain weight but the way they made breads
Carbohydrates rich foodstuff like bread make us gain more weight. Eating a diet high in carbohydrates prevents the stored body fat being used as fuel in our body.
So, we need healthy fats. They are a vital part of both good health and weight loss.
