If you fix it yourself you can have low fat desserts anywhere. There is always jello and fruits, low or no fat whipped cream and fruits. A dessert I always loved was all of this mixed with added nuts and tiny marshmallows. I still fix it around holidays to keep myself from being tempted by more fattening things because this is so good it is more tempting than anything else I could have. It can be served over a plain cake to add a little more pizazz but that us up to the individual of how carefully you are watching the diet; but that beats the temptation of heavier, more fattening desserts, even with added cake.
