Patellar Tendonitis due to Calcium Deposit

I have been experiencing knee pain for about 10 years. I am an active soccer player and usually play 3 - 4 matches per week. However, I recently don't seem to be able to manage the pain so that I can run more than once per week (including games). The structure of my knee is very sound, but I have a calcium deposit where the Patellar Tendon attaches to the Knee Cap (it showed up on x-rays). Over the past 3 months, I have worked to increase the strength of my quadriceps (the Vastus Medialus in particular). I stretch my quads and calves regularly and ice the knee every day. What are my options
