Hihi, I've been meaning to write a series of hubs about procrastination, but since I am the master of procrastination, I haven't really started yet.
What worked for me was track what I did every 15 minutes for a whole week every day. Very confronting, as I wasted a lot of time on doing virtually nothing and I didn't even realize it.
If I put things of, I just sit down and work on it for 5 minutes. Usually once I start I get into it and will work on it for at least an hour or until I finish. If I'm not feeling it, I quit, do something nice, and start over after about an hour.
And I have this great little program on my macbook called Concentrate (free download http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/productivity... which will block certain applications for a specified time. For example when I work on hubs, I block all social media websites, and all games I have on my computer for an hour. Or when I would need to work on school, I could simply block the internet out.
