Yes, it seems highly likely that you will definitely get toned and lose weight by doing any exercise for 30 minutes five days per week.
My mom has been into exercise my whole life. I would say she's definitely an avid exerciser. And, she's 75 years old. She's still retained her 5 foot 5 inch, 115 pound figure of muscles and no fat. (She also eats really well). My mom has been exercising at least all of my life. She works out for an hour every morning six days per week, but she changes her routines and mixes it up so she doesn't get bored with the same thing. She does certain things a couple days per week, etc...including work-out of videos and has a treadmill and some other type of exercise machine. Then, in the late morning she goes for a 30-minute fast-paced walk around her neighborhood, which is a bit mountainous so there are several hills. And I think sometimes she and my stepdad go for another walk after dinner. But she's not exercise crazy -- I don't think. LOL
Anyway, she always told me this about exercising: it's hard to get started but once you do it becomes easier; do a variety of exercises to work on different areas of your body; if you get plenty of exercise, enough to burn off all the calories you eat through the day, you can eat whatever you want; if you focus on only one and doing that one five days per week for a set time, you run the risk of burning yourself out; exercise is easy, don't think about what you're doing and just do it, etc.
If you aren't much of an exerciser and you start off doing five days per week it may be too much though so maybe start with three days per week rather than five and work up to more. You could also mix it up by doing taebo, pilates, yoga on different days. Like two days taebo, one day pilates, one day yoga, and depending on the weather, you could go out and do fast-paced walking.
After my twins were born, I did pilates videos at home a few days per week and I saw results pretty fast from that too. I took core conditioning at the local junior college and it was two days per week for an hour and a half each class and I saw results pretty quickly.
Good luck with your exercising and I'm sure you will get the results you desire.
