Baby Food Processor and Steamer

Updated on February 8, 2018

Just recently my niece had a bouncing baby boy and I thought I should get the happy parents something that would make it easier for them to feed their child on a day to day basis. Although their child isn't ready for solid food it won't be too long before he is ready and this food processor and steamer will make that job a little easier.

I decided to get a baby good processor because my niece is interested in making sure that her child grows up healthy and happy and I know she is going to want to make her own baby food. Today with so many preservatives and chemicals in our food, starting a child off in the world with wholesome, natural food has to be a good idea.

The reason I chose this model is because I know they are considering having another child in the future and having two bowls can make it a little easier when it comes to preparing food for a new baby and perhaps a toddler. Busy mothers today don't want to have to do a lot of cleaning up when they are trying to get a hungry baby fed.

This baby food processor can steam foods, which I love because this helps keep more nutrients in the food. My niece can then blend the food in the same container. She is going to find this so easy to use and she will have the knowledge that what she is feeding her child good wholesome food since she made the food from fresh ingredients. What a great way for a little one to get started in life!

Update: Feb 8/14 - My niece reports that her son has started eating solid food and she loves how easy it is to make everything from scartch and more importantly he is eating everything she makes!

Recipe for Plum and Apple Puree

A super simple recipe for baby using the Babycook!

Cube 1/2 cup of both plums and apples. Put the apples and plums in the steamer basket. Pour water into the tank (level 2). Start the cooking process. When the apples and plums are cooked, put them in the blending bowl, reserving the cooking liquid. Add some of the cooking liquid to bring the purée to the desired consistency and blend.
