Back Pain Book

If you have sciatic or back pain take advantage of this offer of a book to start you off on the right road to back pain relief.

The book is free and contains a lot of interesting and relevant information. I see it as a very valuable starting point for anyone with back or sciatic pain.

It is written by Jesse Cannone who along with Steve Hefferon co founded The Healthy Back Institute and produced the system "Lose the back pain" which helped me so much to get relief from my own back pain.

Full Body Sleep Pillow - Sleep better with more support

If you have back pain or sciatica you will know the value of a good nights sleep. However with these conditions often a good nights sleep eludes us. Back and sciatic pain can be extremely uncomfortable and painful and does not bode well for sleep. However you can make yourself more comfortable easily with a full body pillow.

These pillows for the body help to keep your spine and hips in proper alignment taking pressure off you r back and giving you a lot of comfort. I have in the past used ordinary pillows in between my knees to help to align my spine and it works Ok ish but they slip and as you move in the night they disappear! So I moved to a body pillow and have never looked back. Its easy, so comfy and for me really did make a difference to my sleep patterns.

Everyday Life With Back Pain

When you have back pain or sciatica usually you still have to go about your daily life as best you can.

Some cases may be so severe you are required to completely rest for a while and a few may need hospital treatment but for most of us we have to go about our life however we can.

I totally understand it is far from easy when you are in pain to do anything very much and we all have varying degrees of pain.

Sometimes we are talking about the very basics of life like getting to sleep and being comfortable. Sleeping with sciatica can be a huge challenge and a difficult one to overcome without help so do be kind and gentle on yourself if you are finding this a problem.

Other times it may be about how to persue something that makes you happy like for me it was how to still have a role in our garden.

I have also found that stress plays a major part when dealing with any kind of pain, back pain being no exception . So it is important to try different methods to reduce your stress. This can be anything from deep breathing, relaxation therapies such a s Reiki or massage to relaxation meditation. It is about finding which suits you.

The following pages offer some suggestions as to how to tackle back and sciatic pain in everyday life.

You will have to know your own body and what you can tolerate but I do hope you find some of it helpful.

Back Pain And Travel

Even though my back pain was quite severe there were times that I simply had to travel and times I wanted to travel.

It was important to me to find a way to travel safely and with the least pain possible. It took many times of trial and error. It also took a lot of persarverance.

I had to consider what was safe for me and my physical limitations while attempting to adopt a Can do attitude.

I also had to get comfortable with letting people know about my condition so that they could help me when I needed it and i had to get used for asking for help without being embarrassed about it.

As I chiropractor I recommend the Loose the Back Pain sytem to my patients as it does work for those who have pain caused by muscle imbalaences. Rarely is it that simple though - which is why the back pain institute have a whole lot more to offer than just this simple technique.
