"Coconut oil is of special interest because it possesses healing properties far beyond that of any other dietary oil and is extensively used in traditional medicine among Asian and Pacific populations. Very interesting lens! Of course I make coconut cakes which use the coconut and the water/milk of a coconut, but I am curious. How do you extract the oil? Do you have to buy it or can you process it yourself? Thanks!

Wow indeed! I know coconut oil is in a bunch of things I use, like skin and hair care, because I love the smell. Didn't know it was good for so many other things. I love to munch on pieces of a fresh coconut, and now I know it's even good for me!
