Best Electric Razors for Sensitive Skin

Updated on October 30, 2014

Electric Razors for Sensitive Skin

Finding the best electric razors for sensitive skin is extremely important. Those who suffer from a sensitive skin won't argue that it's one of the most frustrating problems to deal with. Fortunately, by choosing the right electric razor you can have better shaving results and experience much less skin irritation. In order to find an electric razor which is less likely to irritate your skin, we researched which razors are getting the best ratings from users who suffer from the same problems, but before that, a little explanation :

Perhaps you'll notice that all of the razors we shared use the foil technology as opposed to the rotary type. There's an important reason for this. While both technologies have their own pros and cons, foil models, as their name would suggest incorporate a thin protective of foil which both protects the skin and helps trap and remove the hairs. If you have further concerns and want some "insurance", go with a wet/dry model which will allows you to add your favorite shaving creams.

Lastly, if we had only one tip to give for those who are troubled by their skin's sensitivity.... give it time! Don't be quick to be demoralized by your first electric shaving experience, there's about a two week adjustment both by the skin itself, and the hairs. Now let's overview some of the models available today.

1. Panasonic ES8243A

The Panasonic ES-LA93-K is considered to be one of the best electric razors on the market today, and not without reasons.

This state of the art wet/dry electric razor features a 4-blade cutting system and an Ultra-thin Vibrating Outer Foil (41 micrometers) which allows for an incredibly close shave while protecting the skin. It has two (!) motors - one moves from side-to-side and the second one moves up & down. It also features an amazing 14,000 cycles per minute linear motor which is currently the world's fastest linear motor for electric razors. This eliminates the famous pulling and tugging of hairs that is so famously associated with slower devices and is responsible for many skin irritations.

A cleaning and charging system is also included.

Despite being a new addition to this list, the Panasonic ES-LV61 has proven itself to be the electric razor in the world. Especially when it comes to the needs of those with sensitive skin. Going through some of its features already tells the story. The Arc-5, a hypo-allergenic 5 Blading Cutting System covers more space in less time.

A 14,000 CPM Linear Motor which is currently the fastest in the world ensures a quick cutting of the hairs, thus eliminating the common pulling and tugging issues that cause sensitive skin in the first place.

Improvements in the head movement capabillities from its predecessors are quite noticeable. A staggering 20-25 degree movement in all directions , which assures easy access to the problem areas such as the neck and jawline. Overall, a seemingly perfect model, with a price that matches that title.
