Coconut Water - Why You Should Be Drinking It

Updated on November 26, 2015

Coconut Water - The Healthier Alternative To Sports Drinks

Coconut water is one of the earth's greatest and healthiest drinks for hydration.

Don't let the word "coconut" scare you into thinking that coconut water is full of fat.

As a matter of fat coconut water is virtually Fat Free.

I first learned about it when our family was living on Kauai.

(that's a photo of my son, when he was 3, carrying a green coconut, that we opened and shared later on in the day).

On this page you'll find facts that you probably didn't know about this refreshing drink & why you should be drinking it.

And YES!! It does make a good choice when you are on a diet.

What do you get when you want to save money and be more Eco-friendly while still enjoying your favorite beverage?

You get it in it's powered form!

When you are shipping beverages in their liquid form you burn a large amount of fuel and that is hard on the environment and also hard on your wallet. But when you ship it in a powered form you are only shipping the ingredients and not the water which weights less and takes up less space.

When you are ready to use, just add purified or filtered water.

The nutritional factors of packaged coconut water may vary from company to company.

Be sure to read the label to make sure that it does not contain any additional sugar

Coconut water is one of my favorite drinks and the amazing part is that it's also one of the best things to drink. Didn't know about coconut water being used in transfusions; interesting.

I like coconut water, but I would only consider drinking it direct from a coconut so I knew it would be fresh. I really enjoyed this, I love coconuts. Blessed by an angel.

I love coconut water. My mom used make my brother and I drink the stuff fresh. You'll know a picked-on-the-same-day coconut because it is sweet. It's like drinking water with little sugar. We add ice to it. Sometimes we put milk to it. It was so refreshing .

This post brings a lot of fond memories of my childhood.

Whoops. I voted wrong and said I had tried coconut water. I thought that must be what non-Aussies call coconut milk (especially when I saw the picture of the coconut above the poll). I must admit that I've never tried coconut WATER. Sounds very interesting.

I've had it in Hawaii, Vietnam (where a mean monkey stole my coconut!) and in Thailand. I love this beverage. You can't get more natural than something straight out of a huge seed.

I am from Brazil and I grow up drinking coconut water everyday. It was good for my health but also affordable to everyone, just like a can of soda. I wish we could find the same availability here, I wish all the kids had the opportunity to have a glass of coconut water instead of can of soda.

Please provide to us good coconut water and fair prices!!!!!
