Introduction to Affirmations
Hi and welcome. Are you new to Affirmations? Affirmations are when you affirm something.
Using affirmations is something I've done to help me improve my own outlook and I will share with you some tips and ideas that I have found useful.
Blessings and put a little smile on your face. It's great seeing more people smile. :)

Affirmations ~ the basics
First off, smile. That's it. Real big now. Then say, "I like myself! I like myself! I like myself!" Okay, now smile and say, "I like others! I like others! I like others!" Now smile real big again and say, "Others like me! Others like me! Others like me, too! Yeaaa!"
You did it. You read and spoke positive feel good affirmations.
Positive affirmations are what you affirm, declare and/or state positively.
Smiles can help the affirmations to feel better. Repetition also helps to reinforce them, as does using other senses.
Repeat them. Write them. Record them. Sing them. Do what feels good to you.
If at first it seems too unbelievable, smile and add, "I am ready to accept that I like myself," or "I am ready to like myself." All of these methods can help you to accept your new thought more easily, and then it becomes easier to become a stronger part of who you are.
Another fun way to practice your affirmations, is to link them to seeing something. It can be a fun reminder and also act as a reinforcement. For instance, every time you see a road sign, you can smile and affirm, "There is an abundance of safe drivers."
After these new thoughts start taking hold, you'll notice some new ideas. Part of this great process is then listening to your intuition, and following it.
Here are some more affirmations that are definitely true; all you have to do is smile and read them out loud now.

Some of my favorite affirmations - These are ones I came up with.
: ) I like that I easily attract and bring out good vibes in others, because I'm feeling good vibes myself.
: ) I like that good vibes are occurring more and more, and are happily contagious.
: ) I like that more and more of God's creations are experiencing these contagiously feel good feelings.
: ) I always live happily and easily in the present, even when I am consciously creating my future present.
: ) I love you. I love you. I love you. :)
Tips for Creating Your Own Affirmations
Here are some ideas in coming up with affirmations that are meaningful to you.
- First off, smile; and think about some things you like. Then smile some more. Think some more about things that you like. You get the idea. Keep smiling.
Next, smile, and write about things you like, keeping them in a positive and present tense statement, perhaps starting off with, "I like ..." Some examples are: I like who I am and what I do. I enjoy talking to people. I accept my looks. I accept my own inner beauty. Then daydream and imagine more things that you like.
Also make a list of the things that are working in your life.
The more you can focus on what you do appreciate in the long run, the better you'll feel about yourself and your life.
After you've got some ideas written down, then read them, recite them, record them, sing them. Do any combination of these and keep smiling. And review that list of the things you do like in your life. Also, if you make a recording, besides following all the above tips, allow enough time in-between each statement for you to repeat it again, or just to allow it to have more time to sink in.
You can also look at yourself in the mirror and say, "Your name, you are beautiful." You can also say, "I am beautiful." Or if either one feels too strong to do at first, just look at yourself in the mirror and say, "Beautiful." You can also do a wordless affirmation, just smile. You can smile at the reflection in the mirror, and you can smile to the mirror itself.
Some ideas may change faster than others. And some may happen rather quickly. Both are okay.
If old beliefs come to surface, just just keep coming up with a better feel good thought, or make the statement to yourself, "I am choosing a better feeling thought." You don't even have to know what it is.
Another tip is to ask yourself, 'What if the next best positive thing happens.' For example, "What if the extra money does come in?" "What if I can do what I love doing to the good of all?" "What if I can just chuckle about everything that's happened up until now." "What if I always wear a smile?"
The main thing is to keep your affirmations positive.
I found this book quite inspirational for making affirmations. - It is written from a spiritual perspective.
A good time to read your affirmations
is right before going to bed.
You can even smile at yourself in front of the mirror as you declare them.

Affirmations in our environment
Seeing affirmations in our environment, i.e. on t-shirts, hats, etc. is a fun way to share affirmations and to reinforce them. When you, I, and others read these affirmations, we are making an affirmation too.

Affirmations you can listen to.
A helpful way in getting started in using affirmations is to have the freedom to just listen to some. So whether you record them yourself, or listen to anothers, you're worth it.
This is a great way to do affirmations, they are said twice with I, and then two more times with You, and all set to a music background.
This one is mixed with powerful life changing affirmations along with explanations. Overall, I found this one very positive to listen to.
You're never too young or too old to use affirmations.

You can write your own, using the tips from above, or find ones that resonate with you, that someone else has written.

Take a minute for yourself. - You count.
With all the programming of positive thoughts, or not, it's still beneficial to just sit, at least for a minute or so, and take some time to just be.
