Welcome to "Do Scents Make Sense? Part 2"! As you may remember in "Do Scents Make Sense? Part 1," we had a rocky start to our fragrance-free adventure, with many challenges along the way. As we continue our story, we'll show you some more unscented products we think you'll like.
At the end of Part 1, we left you with some suggestions for unscented products you could use to wash your clothes. But after you have nice, clean, fresh laundry, you might ask yourself: What about ME? How do I stay clean and fragrance-free? Here are a few things you might try.

Fragrance-Free Body Wash
Aveeno unscented body washes are my favorites. They are thick and ultra-gentle. A little goes a long way and leaves your skin feeling so soft and cared for. :)
The Shaving Issue - Is it possible to find unscented shaving products?
I remember throughout the years as Mom struggled with the issue of fragrances, she heard family members and friends say, "Listen, my husband has sensitive skin and he NEEDS to use shaving cream and aftershave! I'm sorry if they smell too strong for you." I remember Mom searching to find out what men who couldn't handle perfumes did. She discovered that some men used plain yogurt for shaving cream. Mom convinced one of her brothers-in-law to try it. He was a little skeptical, but, wonder of wonders, it worked and he liked it!
Nowadays, though, more and more companies are realizing that a growing number of their customers and/or their family and friends have scent issues, and they are responding to their customers' needs in a very positive way! I think you'll be as pleased as I was to discover the next list of products.
Fragrance Free Shave Cream
One happy customer says: "I have used this product for the past several years and it is flawless. I learned after using the first tub of it that the price one pays is ABSOLUTEY worth it. Used properly, one tub lasts a long time. The shaving experience renders an extremely smooth shave with a good feel afterwards. Also, I have skin allergies and this unscented shaving cream meets my needs perfectly. I highly recommend it."
One woman says: "Wonderfully smooth. Very clean smell. Both my husband and I have been using this for years. Great natural product that keeps you healthy."
This happy shaver says: "This is the best shaving gel/foam/cream/soap I've ever used. It's modestly priced, unscented, brushless, gives perfect lubrication and cushioning, softens the hairs, and leaves your skin feeling unaffected. Not dry, not greasy, just exactly how it was before you started shaving, but a little softer. Incredible product."
Fragrance Free Aftershave
Lee's comment made me smile: "I don't know what the deal is but so many items that say unscented or fragrance-free still contain fragrance, or at least have a scent that I can detect, this does not. I ordered the fragrance-free option obviously, and it doesn't smell like anything at all. It goes on smooth and disappears. I was worried about greasiness or glossiness due to the mineral oil content in this lotion, but both fears were unfounded. Cheap and good, I'll be buying this again when it runs out in about 20 years."
Diane Reiman wrote: "What a relief to find an unscented aftershave that my husband can use and I can tolerate due to being scent sensitive. We are both thrilled. I wish there were more companies that provided unscented products. Kudos to Honeybee Gardens...I plan on ordering this product many more times. :-)"
Linda says: "Although pricey, it's a good product for the man allergic to scents or for the woman who doesn't care for the odor of men's cologne on her guy. A good skin conditioner."
But what about my hair?
One of the biggest challenges for me has been finding unscented hair care products that I like. Little by little, the selection of unscented shampoos has increased. The same is true of conditioners. There are quite a few unscented hair sprays, but even though they don't contain perfume, you still have to deal with the smell of the lacquer. For styling products, there are a few gels available now, but it wasn't until recently that I found a real, honest-to-goodness mousse that has absolutely no scent!
