The Protein Fit Burger

I am trying to eat a little bit better these days plus trying to get my work out in at the health club when I was done working out me and a friend went over to their snack counter to have a little lunch and they had a burger on the menu call a fit burger and I tried it and it was not bad at all nice and juicy but a little chalky because of the cooking oats but me being a chef I had to go home and reconstruct this healthy burger and I want to share it with you.

The protein Fit Burger

Ingredients

1 pound of ground beef

2 teaspoon of oatmeal

2 table spoons of water

1/2 tablespoon of Montreal steak seasoning blend

4 whole wheat hamburger buns split

8 pieces of leaf lettuce leaves

8 slices of beef steak tomato slices

Methods

Using a medium glass bowl combine the ground beef, oatmeal, and steaks seasoning blend all the ingredients together mixing lightly but thoroughly. Divide into four 1/2 inch patties do not pack hard do it lightly for moisture. Place the burgers on the grill. Place patties on grid over medium heat. Grill, covered, 8-10 minutes over ash covered coals (7-9 minutes on preheated gas grill this will give you a perfect medium rare burger if you want it well done just let it cook a few more minutes.

Grill your buns then dress them lettuce and tomato add the top bun then serve and enjoy.
