FITNESS

Dr.S.K.Deshpande, a Cardiac Anaesthesiologist from Nagpur, India says -

"A HEALTHY MIND RESIDES IN A HEALTHY BODY".

For physical fitness the following suggestions are to be considered :-

  1. Toning up of Lower Limbs : This includes :

Recommended distance for walking may be 2 to 3 kilometers a day for 3 to 4 days a week. This helps prevent Osteoporosis and strengthens weight bearing joints and ligaments of lower half of the body. I recommend Indoor Static Exercising.Bike as available with Amazon.

Physical activity ..... running .....

Keep moving .....

  1. Boost up Cardio-vascular system and Increase Endurance through :
    • Jogging
    • Running
    • Climbing
    • Swimming
    • Rope skipping
    • Aerobic Exercises

Here Stamina and Endurance are Increased and Cardio-vascular System is toned up. These activities Fight Obesity and help maintain an Optimum body weight by burning extra calories.

  1. Increase Flexibility of the Body through :
  • Stretching and Bending Exercises
  • Yogasanas

Helps in Increasing Flexibility and adds suppleness to the body and the Spine.

  1. Increase Lung Capacity through :
  • Pranayam
  • Breathing Exercises

These add years to your life through opening up of the entire alveolar tree of the lungs

( tiniest air sacs of the lungs ). This increases oxigenation of the blood and sharpens brain power and memory. It also revitalizes the tissues of the entire body.

  1. Increase muscle mass through :
  • High protein diet
  • Exercising in the Gym

This includes muscle training through exercising muscles under resistance.

Especially Swimming is considered as a great sport and a great exerciser which fulfills almost all the criterias for physical fitness. It refreshes the mind and body and is pleasurable as well. All those who are lucky to have this facility available should positively utilize it and build great physical and mental health.

So, Wish you all a Happy Exercising.
