Do you think we will all be happier if the world progress/ development is slower?
Are we pushing ourselves too hard? Is it really necessary?
Economic progress needs to go fast, so we can raise that last 1-2 billion people out of the dollar a day definition of deep poverty. Get them proper nutrition, schooling for their children, basic healthcare (vaccinations, antibiotics), homes that are solid.
Their economies need the money to build infrastructure the rest take for granted; think of the billion people with cell phones but no sewers / toilets.
Social change, though, should slow down because we are risking the quality of life of billions if not chaos by whipping through changes when we don't know the effects.
No,Time is a haunting reminder of the short time we have to achieve our goals.fast development makes us happy for we see the fruits of our hardwork and sacrifice so making it slower will make the whole process more unbearable
