   Good day Pamela.
   
   This disorder suddenly reminded me of the condition of a fictional character in the Thai Series I've watched, it's entitled "I'm Tee Me Too.". One of the "Tee" (a boy's name), is so much sensitive to sounds, specially to soft sounds that people may normally not be bothered about but can be so irritable to him. Like chewing and gulping. In the series, it was told it was acquired and developed due to trauma ( to sounds) that he had when he was younger. He and his family were musicians by nature.
   
   
   Disabilities aren't really just the physical ones. There are so much disabilities in the world that we don't often see in a person from the way the look. They may seem normal and well functioning individuals, but one of them may have a disability we don;t know about. Not everyone that seem so strong and healthy is true to what beyond the naked eye can't see.

   I had never heard of this either, but now that I know such a condition exists, I know people who suffer from it or who at least hate certain sounds.

    Well its not a duplicate article Pamela. I guess the more facts the better we understand. I just happen to see the link I shared here in the comments when it appeared to the suggested/related articles. Haven't heard of this one too til today. Its great to learn more disorders so we can also be more mindful with the people  around us. Who knows when it may come in handy and that we may be able to know how to deal with them in case there happens an emergency.

    I am extremely sound sensitive. This happens particularly during exam periods when I get anxiety attacks and any sound will work as a trigger then. It’s like my senses turn hyperactive at these times. Then again at other times, I am fine and even enjoy listening to music at high volume. I think it’s the anxious state that makes the senses go bizarre.
    It is a very informative and well-written article! Loved reading it…

    As usual, a fascinating, informative, and educational article. When I hear something like chewing voices, I frequently find myself unable to concentrate. It irritates me, and no matter how hard I try to focus, I can't do so before changing my place, and even after changing my location, I experience some disturbing emotions.
    
    Surprisingly, I am the only one in my family who faces such a problem, while others simply ignore it. Lol! However, when my father is driving and we talk in the car, he gets distracted sometimes and may even ask us to stop talking at times. I need to share this article with my family

    Pamela has created an informative and interesting article. I've never heard of misophonia before. It sounds like a very unpleasant condition. I hope researchers soon learn more about it and discover new methods to help people with the condition.

    Thank you Gianella. I am healing and doing a bit better. I got shingles on top of everything else, but it was treated early, so that is better also.
    
    I appreciate your comments Farah. Anxiety may be the issue for you. I don't know but you might try to find some method to reduce the anxiety.
    
    Misbah, I appreciate your comments. It sounds like you might have at was some degree of this disorder. Your father's situation may just be anxiety in traffic with the family all taking. Love and blessings!

    In watching that last video, it is amazing that many audiologists are not even aware of this condition.  It sounds like many children might be misdiagnosed.  Thanks for another enlightening medical article.  So sorry to hear that you also have to deal with shingles while recovering from your surgery.
