Yesterday, I was taking part in a forum discussion on another site, which had been started by someone who had been raised a Jehovah's Witness, but had since left the religion. I shared by experience as a former Jehovah's Witness. I intended to write 'I was once a Jehovah's Witness, but that I didn't have the excuse of being raised in a JW family, but that I had been attracted to the religion by a knock at the front door.'
This statement was quoted by another poster, who then added the comment 'It must have been a pretty impressive one!'
I couldn't get the joke at first, until I read by comment again, and realised that what I had actually written was 'I had been attracted to the religion by a "kock" at the front door.'
Now for some reason, this realisation struck me as being so funny, that I started laughing and could not stop. I went on for about half an hour. I was alone in the house and anyone hearing would have thought I was a madman. In the end I was hurting and was doing everything I could to stop laughing. I later realised that it must have been a good ten years since I had laughed like this. This morning I awoke with a terrible pain in my chest, and can only put it down to using muscles by laughing that I am not used to using.
So, I was wondering what was the last thing that made people on here laugh so uncontrollably?
You need to laugh more, Sherlock. Keep those laughing muscles in shape. Also, it has been proven that laughing has medicinal benefits.
I find a lot of things funny on the forums and in the hubs. I went back and read the start of the "Banned Because" in the a sandpit forum and found myself laughing by myself at some of the quips.
My last laugh was when a friend via FB, and also a hubber, explained how to express onself using swear words. I can't publish it here or I'd get banned. But it was in the vein of make sure you use the words in such a manner as to be sure you know there are exclamation marks even if you don't put them in.
That is a hilarious story, sherlock--I can see why you had such a good laugh out of it!
In our house, we are constantly laughing about something, usually that my husband or 22 year old son has said. They are my own personal in-house comedians...
But when it's just the two of us, my husband and I can get to laughing over just about anything--we have a great time together, and have for almost 23 years!
I laugh 2 month ago then me and my friends are sitting in a park, i have a friend who is very funny and we saw him his real acting, he is very funny and so cute. We laugh so much.
Hee hee hee - your post made me giggle. Of course, I get like that over many such things. I am very silly. I think back on a particular line from a Monty Python flick & find my self getting all snickery. I find it very mentally healthful to laugh regularly. Being too serious too often can be hazardous to your health!

okay so my boyfriend is a Jehovah Witness, thats fine I believe everyone has the right to believe in what they want. It's just his family refuse to accept me! They literally hate me. I don't know how to make them like me. It is all based on the fact that I'm not a Jehovah Witness and they are, a...

I'm white. When someone calls me a "cracker" or "honky", it makes me laugh. Isn't it about time that we all just looked racism in the face and laughed at it? Sure, I'm white and I haven't experienced much racism in my life, but "sticks and stones may break...

Can offensive humor sometimes be good?I was wondering about this after reading Encyclopedia Dramatica, which goes over the top with racist jokes, anti Semitic jokes, dead baby humor and the like. But at the same time I found it funny. Have you ever laughed at something that's offensive? Is it ok...
