Get all juiced up with the Breville BJE510XL juicer!

Updated on September 14, 2014

I like vegetables, but there are some family members in my house that don't share my view. They simply do not like the taste of some of the most nutritious vegetables. A juicer is great because you can mask the taste of vegetables when blending with citrus fruits and certain family members are none the wiser that they are getting a meal's serving of vegetables in a glass. We have had our share of juicers, and while they all worked great of making the final product, juice, they were a pain to assemble and clean. Soon they became "wallflowers" on the kitchen counter condemned to be relics at our next garage sale.

Enter the Breville BJE510XL juicer, the first thing I noticed was how easy this juicer was to put together. Simply place the motor base on your counter, set the filter bowl on top of the motor base then install the Nutri Disc, which is basically a glorified strainer, in the filter bowl. Finally install the juicer cover and lock in place. Place the pulp container on one side, the Juice Jug on the other and you are ready to go!

Operation Is Simple

Just follow the motor speed guidelines in the manual provided for the fruits and vegetables to be juiced. Like other juicers you use a plunger to push the product to be juiced towards a rotating blade down a chute. This juicer has a powerful motor so it can easily "juice" all common fruits and vegetables including some harder ones like raw broccoli and cauliflower.

What is extraordinary is the ease at which the parts of the juicer can be cleaned. Unplug the motor base then simply wipe with a damp cloth. The filter bowl, juicer cover, pulp container, and Juice Jug can be cleaned with warm soapy water and are dishwasher safe. The Nutri Disc is cleaned with warm soapy water using the brush provided.

The manual also provides troubleshooting tips and a complete section containing tasty juice recipes.

With the ease of cleaning I am sure you will find the Breville BJE510XL juicer one of your favorite appliances in your kitchen!
