@anonymous: Ah yes, genuine Jade can be difficult to obtain. Beware Serpentine as being sold under the guise of "New Jade", it happens often. Although Serpentine is a beautiful stone in itself.

I do have a very small amount of Jade gemstone beads in stock - some tumble chips and small Nephrite Jade beads. I can make them into something for you. Please email me at caryl@charmsoflight.com and we can discuss. x

To add, I am uncertain about purchasing genuine jade. There are so many being sold as jade but really are not. Do you happen to sell genuine jade either in it's raw form or in jewelry? If not, could you suggest where I could find genuine jade stones?

@madnessmerritt: Thank you so much! :)

When it comes to making jewellery for healing, I find the best way is to create with love and an intent to heal. I also add Reiki energy! :) If the gemstones feel right together, then they are right. As to metals, they all have properties themselves and I know many people who have a preference for copper.

      Blessings,

      Caryl â¥

Carnelian is my favorite. I don't know why. I mean, it's beautiful, in all it's colors shapes and sizes. I must feel protected by it, or strengthened in some way.

@writercb1: Thank you, writer_cb, for your comments. I will be adding more stones as time goes on, so please keep coming back for more. :)

I believe that we all have healing energy within us and that we all have the power to use it to help others, as well as ourselves. You say you are not a healer, but a writer. Have you ever thought about how much healing you have encouraged within others, just from reading what you write? If it gives someone joy to read, then it has helped to harness healing within them, through that joy!

There are a number of stones that could be known as the "healer's healing stone". Angelite is a powerful stone for healers; Clear Quartz, or Rock Crystal, is known as the "master healer"; and Prehnite is known as the crystal to "heal the healer".

      Blessings to you,

      Caryl

My father keyed me into gemstones when I was a child. We would go to the local national park and there was a gemstone section there; you could get a bag of gemstones for $5 or some such. We would go to that park a lot to hike in beautiful nature, and I would get new stones every time. I used to have a huge collection, and now I'm not sure where they all went. I love them, though. I love your article because it teaches the healing properties of each stone, and I want to know that information. I got a good book by Smithsonian on gemstones.

My father was a natural healer; I couldn't help think of him when I read about the "healer's healing stone", can't remember which. Sadly he passed away from cancer roughly 2 years ago, and while he did have many healers come to work on him I don't think he had lots of stones around. I wish that I had surrounded him with some of these healing stones. Now I am all that is left of his legacy and I hope to help others appreciate the healing power of these beautiful gemstones; I am not a healer myself, I am a writer, but much of my writing is inspired by natural things like these healing gemstones that come from the earth itself. I am not a psychic, either (although really we all have psychic powers), but I write of characters who have mystical, positive powers and their battles against evil forces.

I would like to compliment you on the great amount of detail in your article. You covered a lot of stones and I liked hearing about the ones that were special to you.

Because I know little of the stones' properties, my favorites are chosen more for sentimental and aesthetic reasons. Some of my favorites are adventurine, rose quartz, clear quartz, tiger's eye, citrine, amethyst, malachite, and chrysacola.

@anonymous: Hi Logan, there is information in this lens about each of the stones you have bought. However, I always recommend that you choose the stone (or stones) that you are drawn to at any particular time, as it (or they) will be the right one(s) for you then.

There are many ways in which to use them, however the simplest would be to just hold the chosen stone gently in your hand. Then slowly and deeply, breathe in and out whilst concentrating on your stone's colour, shape, markings etc. Let yourself be taken into the stone and it will do its work beautifully.

      Hi,

Thanks for the great information about Boulder Opal. When referring to the special properties of Boulder Opal I particularity like What Eckhart Tolle says in his book âA New Earthâ. Quote: âSince time immemorial, flowers, crystals, precious stones, and birds have held special significance for the human spirit. Like all life-forms, they are, of course, temporary manifestations of the underlying one Life, one Consciousness. Their special significance and the reason why humans feel such fascination for and affinity with them can be attributed to their ethereal qualityâ.

I am also building up a page of useful and interesting information about âboulder opalâ. Here is the linkâ¦

I also work with healing gemstones so I'm grateful that you're sharing this info! I specially made a piece of jewelry for a friend's sibling who was diagnosed with cancer, hoping that the healing properties of the stones would help uplift and energize the spirit. I am always looking for feedback for my Kavanah Healing line at Hot Rox Jewelry.
