Healing School

Be encouraged by testimonies and faith prayer to trust God first for healing whether you can afford the medical bill or not. God heals where doctors fail!

A sick Christian visits his doctor or hospital first, spends all the money he will not ever give to God as offering, seed or vow and comes back to God or His representatives only when the doctor could not find solution to his problem. The situation is even made worse when a Christian finally resorts to God and the church does not have any kingdom institution or representatives thus gifted to handle their problems. The church may be quietly losing the power to heal in the body of Christ as many Churches are now building hospitals and medical screening centres instead of healing schools.

The kingdom of God is within every believer and can only be seen by unbelievers through the children of the kingdom. Our Lord’s statement that “His kingdom is not of this world” is a direct confirmation that God’s kingdom is different from the kingdom of this world. By extension, the institutions of this world are at variance to the institutions of God’s kingdom. God’s desire to duplicate heaven on earth was first manifested in the Garden of Eden. In Eden, there was no animal violence against man, no toiling or scavenging for food, no need for money and there was no sickness or disease. Problems that man faces today were all consequences of the fall of Adam and Eve.

The second Adam, Jesus came to restore once again the kingdom of God by destroying the works of the enemy. To the spiritually and physically dead he gave life. To the captive in all manner of bondages He sets free and delivered from demons. He also healed both spiritual and physical diseases and restored health to sick folks. Worthy of note was that diseases that medical doctors, sorcerers and witch doctors could not handle were healed by Jesus through His spoken word.

Our Lord and saviour promised us His disciples the power and capacity to do greater works than He did while He was here on earth. For several years after He resurrected and went back to heaven the world has witnessed greater miracles especially in the area of healing and deliverance by His first disciples and some of God’s representatives of our day. In spite of widespread manifestation of the miraculous in the body of Christ today, a lot of believers are focused on what the world can offer; reaching out to the worldly institutions and their agents for help rather than God and His representatives. The instruction in Matt.6:33 to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness to a lot of Christians is just a sweet song that instigates no dance.

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. (Exo 15:26)

I am not against worldly institutions that serve their humane purposes like hospitals but the church should propagate the kingdom of God through institutions like healing school than be at the forefront of expanding the kingdom of this world by deploying her resources to build and maintain worldly institutions. I am not condemning the Christian who is sick and because he can afford the hospital bill runs to the medical doctor first, I am encouraging a change of attitude to trust God first for everything we need including health whether we can afford the medical bill or not. It is not advisable to put our trust in what money can do for us but what our God will do for us if we come to Him first and ask Him.

And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. (Ex. 23:25)

We must remember the story of many wealthy men who died of sicknesses that God could have healed but for their trust in what best medical service money can buy. Some died due to wrong diagnosis and treatment and a greater percentage are dead due to error on the side of the medical personnel. The good news is that there is no error or wrong diagnosis with our God; He is the healer of all identifiable, unidentifiable, spiritual and natural diseases. A woman with the issue of blood for 18 years wasted all her money on medical treatments but she never got her healing until she met our Lord Jesus Christ and just by touching the helm of His garment became whole. In recent years, a sister became partially barren and plagued with unidentified disease. She wasted hundred thousands of money running tests alone to identify and find the cause of the disease but to no avail. When she finally ran to the kingdom of God, all she spent was 3 days fasting and prayer and she got her healing with a divine bonus of a long awaited child that terminated her partial barrenness.

The question is, should Christians not spend their money serving God and expanding His kingdom than wasting their money and at times their lives trusting in worldly institutions and their agents?
