Health Matters

Updated on November 23, 2014

From Brain to Toes Your Health Matters

Doctors are marvellous people. They study for years, put their hands into some horrible places, look into all aspects of bodies and their workings and their minds are as sharp as tacks when it comes to diagnosing a condition. But that might not always be the case. There are times when patients can do more for themselves than any medical professional.

That's when they look after themselves and avoid the nasties and things that impact on health. We know about exercise, good food, good nutrition and things to avoid for a long life, such as smoking and, of course, alcohol and drugs. But not everyone cares that much about their future health to warrant avoidance. The young, for instance, think they are invulnerable and when something doesn't hurt immediately then there is no apparent harm and let a more senior person tell them otherwise and . . . ?

Well let's get on with it.

When Age Bites and Health Declines

One day you rise from your chair and a pain you have never felt before suddenly strikes. It could be your back, your hips, your shoulders, even your legs but it's coming to you.

The adage that 2 things are certain, death and taxes, is not actually true. There is another certainty that we all face and that is age related deterioration of the body. Can it be avoided? Probably not! What will it do to me? Probably a lot of things including stopping you from doing most of what you do today.

You might get through the forties OK but the body is rapidly changing during those years from say 45 to 55 years of age.

Women especially notice the difference. The monthly cycle goes out of whack. The mood swings happen more often. You start being teary, angry, bitchie almost, tired, loss of energy, have less interest in things and now you find out why - Menopause. What is that sudden feeling of fire racing through your entire body? Help! You can't get cool. Strip off and take a walk outside as that might help. But that sometimes makes it worse. Climb into bed feeling normal and within minutes you are kicking everything off as you battle the boiling feeling within and it's freezing cold outside. Maybe it's something you were thinking that brought it on. Stop thinking and see if it makes a difference.

You are not yourself. Your once curvy figure is now more like a balloon. You used to attract some admiring stares but now people seem to turn their head the other way. And who is that old hag you see in the shop windows as you pass them and they mirror your reflection? What happened to your feet, now you can't even reach them to cut your toe nails? Every time you bend over you are popping out wind and you just can't stop it. Even walking along sometimes brings it's embarrassing moments. The fruit you once relished now gives you terrible stomach cramps and vegetables like the big leafy green ones are also a no no.

Someone makes you laugh and suddenly you leak. What! That has never happened before. Don't cough or lift anything heavy either and if you trip on something you are likely to need a change of clothes. You feel like you are falling apart and that's before your clothes get too tight to wear, hair becomes scraggier than rats tails and the pretty face you used to admire in the mirror is now full of bulky wrinkles and there is something hanging down around your chin that wasn't there before. Wow, you have got to get into shape. Those romantic evenings on the porch swing have also come to a halt to say nothing of your sex life.

You exercise every chance you get. You know that weight is slowing you down so how much can you do while dancing around? You grab the music and set out to do the housework. Oh, oh! You don't get far before you just have to sit down. It's got to be morning tea time so you will just take a break here and relax.

Men don't escape changes to their bodies either. How's the libedo going? Oh! You think a younger more attractive woman will do the trick for you do you? You are convinced that she will help you recover those youthful feelings you once had, once you find her of course. So you start looking around. Where would you go to find one? Clubs, pubs, shopping centers maybe. But what about your wife? You know that woman you are married to who is suddenly turning on you with gusto. She has lost most of her appeal now because she has turned into her mother and she just does not turn you on. It's not your fault, of course, and you were not prepared for this thing that happened to her to happen. But what about the kids?

Thought your strength might be tested by showing everyone your skill at the limbo challenge on New Year's Eve, "This will show em that I am just as young as I used to be" you think to yourself. But what was that crack? Oh, now the old back is hurting like hell. Well no one told you that a slipped disc was on the cards, did they? Constant physiotherapy and a back brace will require months of inactivity to get it right again, that's if you can avoid an operation.

Is this what they call the Middle Age Crisis for men? Is it male menopause? Maybe it is your fault that the old body is not what it used to be. Are you losing your drive, your strength and what's with that need to urinate every five minutes or so? You need to condition yourself and fast, especially if you want to attract a young woman to your cause. Swimming should help

Age Related Problems

When age really kicks in so do many things you were not expecting. Your eyes need glasses to read if not to see into the distance. You feet become sluggish and sometimes you get crazy pain in them that you can't explain. Things like Plantar Faciitis, which can go on forever and feels like you are walking over shards of glass. Then there is the itchiness under the skin or the feeling that insects are walking over it to dive you mad. Many will find that the muscles in their legs and arms ache for no apparent reason and when you demand they work better you either rip a muscle, tear a ligament or get tendinitis. All of these things are horrible, frustrating and will get you down on your knees pleading with doctors while looking for solutions.

There are numerous natural products that can help with most of these conditions. One recommended to me recently is Rosehip Ultra which has completely removed much of my arthritic pain and allowed me to function normally again. Below is a list of companies who offer similar products to help with many of these aging conditions.

Have you any idea how nasty age related warts are? Or how horriblle shingles can be? What about acne; Arthritis; Athletes Foot; Candida; Cellulite; Cracked Heels; Eczema; Fissures; Headaches; Hemorrhoids; Insomnia; Jock Itch; Moles; Nail Fungus; Psoriasis; Restless Legs; Rosacea; Scars; Skin Tags; Stretch Marks; Varicose Veins; Warts; and Wrinkles? Natural oils from this Company will help all these conditions and more. Pregnancy and child birth are not fun at any time but the after effects can leave a woman deflated and embarrassed. Get the good oil and start repairing the skin and other parts of your body now.

"Our bodies are so toxic they can no longer chemically balance water and then absorb enough of it to provide therapeutic levels of hydration and oxygen. Yet water, restored to the natural chemical balance and energy it had years ago before we polluted and depleted it, has the ability to not only keep us alive but healthy and capable of optimal performance. "

Things That Go Wrong

Aside from sore bones and the odd aches and pains that you think are nothing they may be something. Aging starts from birth but by the time you hit the 30's, middle age, it can be quite progressed. You feel extremely well, lots of energy and everything coming up roses. By now you have a family, a home, and your life appears in order. But do you know how many people in their 30's and 40's have heart attacks, strokes, are extremely obese, and how many are diagnosed with things like high blood pressure, diabetes etc.?

By this time the rest of the body is under attack. Muscles are wanting a break and you give it to them. It is much easier to be sedentary than active all the time. Sitting for long periods at the computer or watching television is almost a death sentence to good health. Your alcohol consumption has gone up thanks to all the parties and get togethers you indulge in. Chocolates and other 'goodies' are consumed by the bucket load and middle age spread is no longer a rumour but a fact.

The mouth becomes a problem when people back away from you and you discover you have bad breath. A trip to the dentist is the beginning of a long list ot things needing to be done. Some teeth are beyond recovery thanks to something called gingivitas. What's that? Well the gums know about it and they have been bleeding now for some time. Why didn't anyone tell you? You discover that the condition is linked to plaque and it is the same stuff that could be blocking up your arteries.

We are taught to clean our teeth for oral hygene but what about your tongue. It is a fact that 90% of bad breath come from bacteria on your tongue. This little brush is so effective and also so cheap that you will wonder why you never thought of it before. Fresh breath is a boost to self-esteem and confidence. We can't prevent disease but we can help them when they turn up. Doctors are great for a quick fix but they pedal pills (expensive) and send you to surgeons who use a knife and then your feel violated. The pills give you side effects and cutting you open does not always leave you feeling the best. This Company is a minefield of information on how to cure, you heard CURE, conditions and virutally every disease without either pills or surgery. Why not look them over?

Thanks for expressing your ideas. I'd also like to cvenoy that video games have been ever evolving. Better technology and innovations have assisted create practical and interactive games. Most of these entertainment games were not actually sensible when the concept was first being used. Just like other styles of technological know-how, video games also have had to develop by means of many generations. This is testimony on the fast progression of video games.

As Bette Davis said - "Getting old aint for sissies!"

I think aging really sucks big time - I hate the health issues that arise with aging and fight it every step of the way!
