Updated on January 8, 2012

What is a high protein diet? Well, as the name suggests, it's a diet that you eat mostly high protein foods. Let's start with the benefits of the high protein diet:

  • Foods high in protein usually keep you fuller longer, meaning you won't feel like you need to eat all the time.
  • Protein helps build and recover your muscles after a workout.
  • As a general rule, foods with high protein are healthy; most cupcakes have <1 gram of protein, same with chips and other junk food. Meaning, those things are not on your diet!

Who can benefit from a high protein diet? Anybody who is dedicated to it and will stick to it! You don't have to be an athlete or a body builder to see results from this plan.
