Infrared Blanket, Infratherapy Or How I Lost 25 Pounds Doing Nothing But Sweating

Updated on August 14, 2014

Does Infratherapy Work For Weight Loss?

I lost 25 pounds in two month just by relaxing in an infratherapy blanket....

I did nothing really.. just sweat away calories and toxins while reading or even sleeping...

I was also suffering from water retention, that went away too...

I feel more relaxed, my skin is better, youthful...

Infrared, Infratherapy Blankets - Infrared Blankets

Weight loss with infratherapy

The Infratherapy Blanket

I first started doing Infratherapy in a center 3 times a week combined with whole body vibration plate for 15 minutes and after losing 25 pounds in 2 months, I decided to get myself the blanket for home...

It's easier this way....I don't have to go all the way to the center.. and we sweat so much that its easier to be at home and shower after...

I just lay down and read while losing all these calories

A diet was given to me but I could't do it, I lasted just a couple of days on it.

What is it exactly?

It's infrared waves.. It has been proven very beneficial for weight loss, cellulite, stress. It improves the immune system and cardiovascular system. It improved my skin a lot and I lost all traces of cellulite. My skin was glowing, no zits.

It's a body detox, toxins will be illiminated while you sweat.

It's not that hot but you will be sweating like crazy.

You will sleep better and feel more relaxed. It helped me a lot with my water retention problem.

I did research on the subject a lot before trying and infrared therapy only has benefits.

You will see results after only one session.

Infratherapy benefits include:

Weight loss: One 45 minute session causes a 600 to 900 calories loss plus it helps with water retention and elimination of toxins

Cellulite: The thermal effect of infratherapy acts on the superficial fat, helping to stimulate the metabolism to get rid of cellulite and fat deposits.

Detox : During an infratherapy session the blood flow increases and the perspiration helps to eliminate toxic metals and pollutants

Immune system: The infrared thermal effect creates an artificial fever that will activates the immune system. This, combined with the toxin elimination and waste through perspiration strengthens the body's resistance to disease and promotes good health.

Stress: Infrared therapy relaxes the body's muscles and eliminates stress and tension. You will feel this immediately after one session.

Muscle pain: Infratherapy has antispasmodic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. It is beneficial for muscle pain and tired legs.

Measure yourself and see your evolution

But you'll sweat

A lot

Did you ever try a Infra red blanket?

See results

This seems like a good solution for a person who does not have the time or desire to workout. But I would still choose physical activity over anything else. Great lens!

This sounds like a good idea to lost weight without doing anything, but I still would like to walk to have some fresh air and at the same time lost some pounds.

It sounds a little bit disgusting, but I can see why it might help people lose a few pounds.

@RinchenChodron: Oh I know I would go crazy claustophobic all wrapped up.. but i leave my arms out at all time..anyway it gets very'll have to leave yours arms out at one point. and it is easy to get out of.. just a zipper..

I used to do it in a sauna and a dome too and I like the blanket better, you sweat more.

I used to go to a center also, but it closed. I'm not sure I could take a blanket wrapped all the way around! That's intense, but I also did lose weight and I do know that it is good for you in many ways.

They are very big in Asia.

We see them in spas or weight loss clinics here in Montreal too

@Isabellas-cabin: It's the toxins that come out..

Like when you get to a plateau and can't lose anymore, this will help a lot.

Is this losing actual fat or is it just losing the water weight? I have used these wraps before and had great success, but after a few weeks regained the weight because of it just being water weight loss.
