Invisalign Before And After Pictures - The Proof Is In The Smile...

This page offers a series of Invisalign before and after pictures to demonstrate how effective Invisalign braces are.

Invisalign is a new kind of clear braces that are used to straighten your teeth just like traditional metal or fixed clear braces.

Being fairly new many people are sceptical about Invisalign braces and whether they work. For this reason this page will show you a series of before and after pictures from a patient who has very kindly allowed me to showcase her pictures from her Invisalign blog.

This patient is still in ongoing treatment as she had some very complex orthodontic problems so decided to use braces rather than a quick but imperfect fix of porcelain veneers. Her teeth were not a simple case of putting one or two wonky teeth into line. Her teeth were really crooked at the beginning.

I will continue to update this page (with her permission) as she continues through treatment

This picture is obviously quite self explanatory. The teeth are not only crooked and misaligned, they are also very, very yellow.

What you can't see from this picture unfortunately, because of how the patient is holding her teeth is how much the top teeth appear to stick out when the patient is viewed in profile.

This picture was taken about one month before Invisalign molds were made.

The Invisalign Clincheck!

How Invisalign Preview Your New Teeth

One of the unique features of Invisalign braces is the clincheck.

Every Invisalign patient has molds of their teeth taken. These are then sent to Invisalign, who create a computer model of the patients teeth. They then work out a computer simulation of how the teeth should move and create the patients unique braces from this simulation. It also gives the patient an idea of how their teeth will end up.This simulation is called a bclincheck./b Below is the clincheck of the patient featured on this page.">

Invisalign Before And After Pictures - Set 5 after 10 weeks of Invisalign braces wear

Invisalign Before and After Pictures- set 5

This picture was taken after the patient had worn only 5 sets of Invisalign braces (i.e after 10 weeks of Invisalign treatment.)

One thing that should be pointed out though is that the patient had also whitened their teeth using NiteWhite tooth whitening gel which explains a lot of the change in appearance. However it is still clear to see that at this point the patients teeth are already showing a dramatic change.

This picture shows the patient after 7 sets of Invisalign braces wear. The bottom teeth are still very misaligned at this point as are the front upper teeth. Looking to the right of the picture you can see that one upper pre-molar is much longer than the others.

The picture above although it doesn't show the whole mouth does show the upper front teeth moving closer together. You can also start to see an improvement in alignment of the lower front teeth.

See later stages of the patient's treatment below!

The teeth continue to move into alignment. This picture quite clearly shows the attachments on the teeth. These are small tooth colored blobs of material that are attached to certain teeth to help the aligner to grip.

This is the patient after 23 sets of Invisalign or approximately 46 weeks of wear. As you can see the upper pre molar is now almost the same length as the other molars and the bottom teeth are not moving into much better alignment.

This picture was taken directly from http://myinvisalignblog.com and clearly shows the teeth after just over one year of Invisalign wear. It should be noted that this is the average time taken to complete treatment. This patient had some very complex orthodontic problems.

Invisalign Before And After Set 32

This picture is the latest picture available and shows the patients teeth getting towards the end of upper treatment but with still some way to go on the lower teeth. I will continue to update these pictures as she adds them to her blog (with her permission of course!). Comparing the first set to these latest pictures the results are already dramatic.

After 35 sets of Invisalign - Smile is improving!

After 35 sets of Invisalign this patient has a smile that looks much, much improved on the original. However, she still has some sets to go for the lower arch to bring them into perfect alignment.

After 50 sets of Invisalign

After 50 sets of Invisalign, still not finished. But what an improvement!

By this point the patient had also had gum surgery on one upper tooth to improve the gumline.
